She loves her Cheerios!

Her favorite food comes in a yellow box.

Hannah has discovered the whole grain goodness of Cheerios! I pull out the box, give it a shake, and her face lights up with joy. I thought the gleam in her eyes was looking at her Mommy, nope, it's the love of the round treat in the yellow box.

She's reads every night.

We read her books every night. She loves to listen and point out the bright colored objects.

Clap, clap, clap

Her new trick is to clap, wait for us to clap, then clap, clap, clap followed by laughing at us since we're copying her.

Me and Daddy were Twinkies today. I had on a plaid patchwork skirt and he had on plaid patchwork shorts! We were sooooo cute.

How I spent my 8 month birthday!

I had such a fun day. I started the day listening to the Pope, then we went to visit Grandpa and Grandma Diggs, after that we went to a birthday carnival! I even got my first tatoo!!

Hannah we are so blessed to have you in our lives. Each and every day is more of an adventure. The past 8 months have gone by so fast. We love you, more than words.

The only time in life you don't have to worry about chub-a-lub thighs!

Hannah has the most delicious thighs! We just love to munch on them. I wish adult chub thighs were just as cute......no such luck.

We're so lucky that we can put her in her room to play and she'll entertain herself. I thought I would take some pics of her that were just her having fun.

Crawling is for 6 month olds, I'm ready to stand!

She's gone from an Army crawler, to downward dog, to crawling, and now STANDING!! We are wearing our roller skates to keep up with her. I think the best form of exercise is chasing a 7 1/2 month old around the house, the yard, the room.

Texas Wildflowers & Bluebonnets

We went to the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center today. It was pretty and Hannah enjoyed posing for pictures among the flowers.

She's a cribber.

Grandma Julie says this is what they call horses that chew on stuff. I've found out that my crib is yummy to chew on. Mommy had this brilliant idea to "slip cover" the bed rail. Since I have a sleigh crib and they don't make plastic teething crib rails to fit, Mommy had to get creative. Here's what Mommy made.

Gettin' better by the day!

She went to the dr this morning, they drew blood from her tiny finger, and took her temp. Her temp was normal and her blood count was normal except for elevated lymphocytes. He said she's probably just fighting a little virus. Her ears, nose, and chest were all clear! Her temp has been normal all today. So, back to work and back to daycare for us tomorrow!

Sick day, update.

Poor, love. Her fever is now 102.2. She's still playing, crawling around, and nursing. We'll keep a watch on it, but no treatment or dr visit as of now.

Hannah's Sick Day

After she took at 2 hour nap she woke up and her temperature was 100.2. She decided that no fever was going to slow her down. This is how she does "sick day".

Poor love, first fever.

Poor Hannah Banana woke up at 3 AM and felt pretty warm. I took her temp and it was 101.6, a low-grade fever. She went back to sleep and woke up at 7 AM smiling and playing. I took it again and it was 100.6. So, we're home today. Her first "sick day".

Hannah realized that if she pushes on the door, it will open. Off to find a baby gate for the office.

We had our fire inspection yesterday.

Good thing we passed, that fire inspector was a toughie!

She's is non-stop moving! We're going to have to put a bell on her so we can find her as she is exploring the house! Max is in trouble since she's found his food bowl.

My karaoke stage is sooo fun! I bang on it and we sing "Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes".

The Pink Hat

Mommy just loves to dress me up! I love my new pink hat (and Mommy and Daddy too)!

Visist from Aunt Jenny & Cousin Dylan.

Jenny came in town to run the Cap 10K (way to go Aunt Jenny!) and cutie Dylan came along for the ride. Hannah loves her Cousin Dylan as you can see from the pictures. We can't wait to see you again!
