The weekend project.

The finished product!

Hannah enjoying dinner at her new table. I added a tablecloth to make it extra special.

Hannah trying out the table before it was finished. She wanted to have a tea party.

Richard is notorious on Friday afternoon for saying, "what are we going to do this weekend?" My response is usually, "hopefully, relax.". Not this weekend. Richard had the brilliant idea to build Hannah a table. I got to help decide upon the colors (pink and green, duh) and he did all of the rest! It looks amazing. He did a fantastic job and most of all Hannah loves it. She even wanted to eat her dinner at her new table. Richard, Hannah and I are so lucky to have such a kind, creative, and talented person in our lives. You're always thinking of ways to make us feel special. We love you!

Dada's girl.

Hannah is a Dada's girl. She loves her Dada almost as much as her "b". (Just kidding, Dada)
I just love the silliness between the two of them!

Swimsuits in April?!?

Yes, in Austin where it's 95 degrees! We had record breaking temps the past two days, 95 and 93 today. Whew, we're so not ready for the heat just yet, but Hannah had fun in her swimsuit! I'm lovin' that this is the same suit from last summer and it still fits!

Bear Hunting

Hannah in her bear hunting gear.
Hannah checking under our bed for bears. No bears here!

This week at daycare they're going on a "bear hunt". Ms. Shawneen has been reading them a book about hunting for bears. Today they made the cutest, cutest bear hunting hats. Hannah wore hers around the house while she was making sure our house was bear-free! Thanks Ms. Shawneen for the fun themed week, Hannah is having a blast!

A golden woo woo

We trying to adopt a dog for Hannah. We've looked at the shelter, dog rescues, and even the dogs outside of Pet Smart on Saturdays. We finally decided on adopting a Golden Retriever. We had a home visit by a Golden and her foster mom. Now we just wait for the call that tells us they found a dog for us.........

Hannah can't wait!

Pink potty=Success!

Hannah pee pee'd in her potty! She's been sitting on our potty for over a month now and nada. She just likes to tear off a square (or 5) of toilet paper and drop it in the potty, but not tonight! She took off her diaper like she always does while I'm getting her bath water ready. I put her on her pink potty and she sat there watching me fill the tub, like she always does. Then, she says, "Mama". I said, "Yes, Hannah" and then she said, "Hannah pee pee"! I said, "You did?" and then I looked in the potty and sure enough, PEE PEE! I squeeled, "Yeah, Hannah, you pee pee'd in your potty!" I grabbed my phone to call Richard to share the great news! I'll spare you the pictures of Hannah on the potty and of the pee pee. :)

Let the potty training begin.

(This is how I found Hannah after her nap).

Hannah found out what the two tabs are for in the front of her diaper. Yep, she realized that if you pull on them, her diaper comes off. Fun times. She's been taking her diaper off at daycare, taking it off when we think she's reading books quietly in her room, and taking it off during nap time. Lucky for us, she's only peed in bed. We bought a potty today and will be introducing her to it a little each day. She'll tell us when she's pooped or need to poop, we now have to teach her how to associate the poop with the new pink potty. :) Wish us luck!
