Farmer Hannah

Remember this post from 2 months ago................?

Well, now it's THIS

Hannah is so proud!  She has been waiting very very patiently for her strawberries to turn red so she could pick them.  She checks them everyday to see if they turned red.  Well yesterday was THE day!  She was so excited she could barely contain herself.  She picked them very carefully, we washed them, and she ate them this morning with her cereal!  Now we're waiting patiently once again to see if we'll have carrots (I think those are carrots just to the right of the strawberries and tomatoes).

My girl.

Hannah is a Mama's girl 85% of the time (despite looking 100% like her Daddy)!  She loves to help me cook, especially when we make muffins or cookies.  She has quite the collection of baby dolls and they are all named after her friends at day-care......Baby Anna, Baby Leah, Baby Taylor, Baby Cara.  We can't leave the house without a Baby, a baby bottle, and a baby blanket.  Trust me.  It makes the drive, shopping trip, etc so much better if we have the entourage of Babies and related accessories in tow.  Hannah loves to shop.  She's very opinionated (at 2 and 3/4)!  and will tell me if she does or doesn't like something.  (this month it's veggies....she doesn't like veggies....although she'll clear her plate of green beans in .02 seconds flat)!  She helped me pick out these fabulous Michael Kors sunglasses for Mother's Day.  (Unfortunately she also got my taste for the fancy designers as well)!

Hello, Blog, It's Tracy.......

Man o man!  I haven't blogged in awhile.  The month of May is a crazy one in the education business.  It's full of last minute meetings, last minute projects, end of year reports, end of year celebrations, preparation for summer school, preparation for summer work, and beginning to plan for the next school year!  Trust me, it's crazy.  So, I've been a huge slacker on blogging.  But, alas, I looked through my camera phone and realized I had some really really cute pictures to share with our friends and family that blog follow.

Hannah is a vibrant, busy, talkative, precocious, running, jumping, did I mention talkative toddler?!  She now knows how to count to ten in Spanish as well as say, "muy bien, adios, hola, ayudame, and several fruits and veggies".  I need to re-take a conversational Spanish class just to stay ahead of her!   She's realized that she loves the pool and loves to swim.  Hannah saw her cousins, Brady and Katie, graduate from Pre-K this weekend.  She was so impressed by what they've learned.  She can't wait to know her months of the year, and how to sing the "Tooty-Ta" song!

We're excited about our upcoming trip to visit Uncle Jeff in Colorado.  It can't come at a better time since the weather there will be in the 80's during the day and 50's at night!  Cannot.wait!

Jogging with Hannah

I'm trying to jog 4 times a week.  Sometimes I take Hannah with me and sometimes she stays at home with Richard and plays.  When I do take her I give her my phone to keep her busy and keep her from trying to climb out of the jog stroller while I'm running.  I never really know what she's doing since I'm concentrating on pushing 35lbs of toddler and 15 lbs of stroller, usually up hill.  I looked through my phone and found out what she was doing yesterday along our 2 mile jog.

A first for Hannah

If anyone knows me, knows I'm a bit of the food police.  It all started when Hannah was born and me and my friend Kristen would get together and make batches and batches of homeade baby food.  We made yummy cubes of sweet potato, corn, peas, green beans, and anything else we could steam and mash.  It was great!  Then Hannah graduated to more solid foods and off to Whole Foods I went.  I was in search of the best, most fresh, organic, whole grain, super colorful food I could possibly find (and afford!).  As she's getting older I've become more lax about her food intake with exception of some things.  She still drinks organic milk, eats organic fruits and veggies whenever possible, does not eat fast food, and her plate looks like a rainbow at every meal.  I just know on her first day of Kinder she'll be the kid trading her food for ANYTHING other than what's in her re-useable lunch sack.

Hannah and I venture to Starbucks sometimes on the weekend for a treat.  She always wants something from the delicious pastry case.  This one particular day, her sweet smile, and repeated "please, please, please" got the best of me.  I bought her her first doughnut.  It was the vanilla sparkle mini doughnut.  It was heavenly.  I took a picture to remind me that non-organic, white flour, pure sugar icing on top doughnuts are not the enemy.  She was so happy to be able to have the whole thing without me asking her 100 times if she'd like to "save the rest for later" (ie; which means I throw the rest away).

Frozen Yogurt

Hannah is following after her Mommy's love of sweets.  It's a sad fact in the Lunoff house, if there is ice cream, cookies, or cake....I will eat.it.all.  I have no shame, I just can't help myself.  We found this great place at the Hill Country Galleria called "Yogurt Planet".  It's a place where you can pick from a dozen or so flavors of fat-free frozen yogurt and then add toppings on top as  you choose.  Hannah's favorite is vanilla with strawberries on top.  My favorite is vanilla with Reese's peanut butter cups.

It's official.....diapers are not welcome here anymore.

So long Pampers, Huggies, Pull-ups.  It's official...Miss Hannah is potty trained.  It took all of 3 1/2 days for the little Miss to decide that pull-ups are for babies and she's a "big girl".  We can't believe we're finally done with diapers (except for night-time)!  She's so good about telling us when she has to use the potty and will go by herself and wash her hands after-wards using her special soap from Bath and Body Works (that she got to pick out)!  So, adios Pull-up's, diapers, wipes, and diaper cream!
